Danbury Students Demonstrated Their Skills in Boston Martial Arts Tournament

Danbury - Students from Han Dol Martial Arts impressed the judges at the Boston Classical Soo Bahk Do Tenth Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Tournament in Boston, MA on March 23. The tournament showcased competitors of all ages from schools throughout the northeast and competitors were separated into divisions based on age and rank. Vatsal Bandaru, age 9, of Danbury, placed third in sparring and third in forms. Alex Wagner, age 10, of New Milford, placed second in sparring, second in forms, and was Grand Champion Green Belt Division. Ian Wagner, age 5, of New Milford placed third in forms. Leonard Liu, age 9, of Danbury, placed first in sparring, first in forms, and was the Orange Belt Grand Champion. Marcos Nunes, age 13, of Bethel, placed second in sparing and third in forms. Surya Kumar, age 6, of Bethel, placed second in sparring and second in forms.
