Master Choi is currently a 6th degree midnight blue belt and has been teaching Soo Bahk Do for over 30 years. He also acts as the Technical Advisor to the European Soo Bahk Do Federation.

In 1989, Master Choi founded the French Soo Bahk Do Federation. He is also fluent in the French language.

Prior immigrating to France, Master Choi was the head instructor of Soo Bahk Do at the U.S. Military Base in Youngsan, South Korea for 2 years.

He has trained directly under the late Grand Master Hwang Kee and currently under the present Grand Master Hwang Hyun Chul of the US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation.

Choi Sa Bom Nim is one of the most senior Korean masters in the United States who is still active in the Moo Duk Kwan today.
